ICAN now has an employment service, where the goal is based around career planning and the steps that partake in doing so. This service is a focused, time limited service engaging individuals in self-discovery. During the service, individuals will go through job exploration, job shadowing, informational interviewing, assessment of interests, labor market research and informal or formal assessment and consultation. This can also go in conjunction with supported employment, pre-vocational training, residential and/or day habilitation services. ICAN takes pride in maximizing the opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities to have the knowledge and capabilities to withstand competitive employment.
