ICAN Home and Community-Based services are designed to provide needed support to individuals with Developmental Disabilities living in their own homes or with family members. Support services are tailored to the unique needs of each individual and can include such supports as: making sure bills are paid and on time; locating and finding needed resources in the community such as doctors, activities, social opportunities, and other human resources. Services can also include oversight to an individual for health and safety while family members are gone or to learn Independent Living Skills in one's own home. Other related services consist of Respite care and Personal Assistance; this is for all ages.  We also have group activities that we provide supports in, such as the Adventure’s Club or receiving assistance at a People’s First meeting, working out for the 500 Club at the Randolph Area YMCA, or other group activities.  The dates and times of the service is completely up to the needs of each individual and can be scheduled to meet those needs.

Transportation

ICAN Missouri Foundation Transportation Services are designed to assist individuals with transportation to and from the Community Services located in our building (during other services provided), if they are needed. There is currently an array of fleet vehicles that we run for this purpose. Individuals receiving any of our Community Service programs also receive transportation during the times of services, as needed, in order to access the community. If an individual wants and needs to access public transportation in order to access the community, we also support individuals to learn how to do that and to become as independent as possible when accessing their own community.

Adventure Club

The Adventure Club is service that is in a group setting that takes place in the community once a month.  This service gives individuals an opportunity to make friends, learn how to plan events, budget for said event, gain community integration experiences and get involved in activities and events that they might not have experienced before.  Examples of some events consist of going to St. Louis Cardinal games, State Fair, camping trips, and Christmas shopping in December.  ICAN provides staff to support the individual and their peers during this entire planning process.  This is a great opportunity to learn about your state and go out and have fun!
