ICAN is a 501(c) not for profit agency dedicated to serving individuals who have developmental disabilities in Randolph County, Missouri. ICAN came into existence on November 1, 2012. We have a 5-member Board of Directors to oversee our various activities and funding sources. We are funded partially by a property tax known as Senate Bill 40. We are also funded by the Missouri Department of Mental Health, Missouri HealthNet, known as Missouri Medicaid, and by various grants and donations.
ICAN provides services and supports to ensure that individuals who have developmental disabilities have the same opportunities as individuals without disabilities to live a full and rewarding life. ICAN Missouri Foundation is CARF Accredited
ICAN has successfully received a three-year CARF accreditation for Community Integration & Supported Living. The accreditation signifies that the organization has met annual conformance requirements for quality standards that enhance the lives of persons served. The current CARF accreditation is valid until April 30, 2026.
Awards and Certifications
ICAN is proud to practice and implement Tiered Supports. All staff are introduced to TOOLS, and all direct support staff are enrolled in the 16-hour TOOLS of Choice workshop which provides staff with the knowledge and ability to implement evidence-based practices structured around developmental disabilities. Currently, ICAN has been recognized by Missouri Department of Mental Health for implementing Tiered 1 & 2 supports within the organization.
